Globethics.net is happy to share the invitation to attend course "Old Catholic Theology in its Ecumenical Context" organised by the Seminary of the Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands on July 2-7, 2017, at Utrecht, The Netherlands.
The Seminary of the Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands offers a unique opportunity to immerse one's self into Old Catholic spirituality, liturgy, theology and history. The course offers an introduction to Old Catholic theology in an ecumenical context.
The topics covered by the course include the following aspect of Old Catholic theology and tradition: History of Old Catholicism, spirituality, ecumenism, canon law and ecclesiology, liturgy, and systematic theology.
The course also includes excursions to a major collection of relevant religious art (Museum Catharijne Convent), to a liturgical celebration (Utrecht) and to the traces of Catholic presence and history in the episcopal city of Utrecht.
