Globethics.net is a global network of persons and institutions interested in different fields of applied ethics. It offers access to resources on ethics, especially through its leading global digital library on ethics. In addition, it facilitates collaborative web-based research, conferences, online publishing and active sharing of information. Globethics.net aims especially at increasing access to ethics perspectives from Africa, Latin America and Asia. It aims at strengthening global common values and the respect of ethical contextual diversity.

We are looking for an intern who can assist us in various interesting tasks in our library and network and who has an interest for ethical questions and might want to combine an internship with a research project.

Major Tasks

  • Submission of documents into the online ethics library
  • Thematic research of new content for the library
  • Contribution to a collection of case studies in the field of professional ethics
  • Animation of a forum for young adults in the network
  • Corrections and layout of new publications
  • Writing and uploading news articles onto the website
  • Assistance in the planning of an international conference if internship coincides with the preparation period

Assistance in research projects

Qualifications

  • University degree (BA or higher)
  • Interest in ethics
  • Fluent in English and at least one other language
  • Interest and ease in electronic networking
  • Persons from developing countires are especially welcome 


What we offer
You will be working in a small and friendly team in an international environment. We will give you training on the job and encourage and help you in your own research.
Unfortunately, we are not able to remunerate an internship. Some expenses can be reimbursed and will be discussed.

Location: The international secretariat is located in Geneva, Switzerland, close to UN institutions.
Starting date: To be discussed. Internships are possible during the whole year.
Duration: If possible at least three months. Shorter duration not excluded.
