Earlier this year, launched the book ‘The Role of the Maronite Church on the construction of Lebanon'. In this book, the author first studies the organization of the Maronite Church in Lebanon, and seeks to demonstrate the impact of this on the construction of the Lebanese state. The author traced back to the origins of the Maronite Church in the 5th century in Syria, and follows its development into the Lebanese Mountains until 1920. The history of this period sheds lights on the strong predominance of religion in the relations between groups, and geopolitical realities that exist today. Academic Dean, Amélé Ekué moderated a panel with Ignace Haaz, Publication Manager and the author, Didier Ostermann. The author has completed two Master degrees at the University of Geneva, one in Law and one in Theology, and has gained significant experience, including many field trips to Lebanon.
