Co-sponsored statement: COVID-19, Human Rights and Youth
During the 46th session of the United Nations Humans Right Council, Globethics.net co-sponsored an oral statement on COVID-19, Human Rights and Youth coordinated by the NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education and Learning. The statement drew attention to the right to education of children and young people.
The oral statement was delivered on 10 March 2021 by the co-chair of the NGO Working Group from the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) on behalf of 23 non-governmental organisations, including the International Organization for the Right to Education and Freedom of Education (OIDEL), Soka Gakkai International (SGI) and Graduate Women International (GWI) as well as Globethics.net.
"As a member of the NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education and Learning and an advocate of ethics and in particular in higher education, Globethics.net is proud to co-sponsor this statement. It is focused on the youth, on the deepening inequalities in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and on keeping human rights and human rights education front and centre based as they are in turn on the shared values of dignity and respect"
