LA CONCEPTION DE LA CORRUPTION : MESURAGES, DEFINITIONS ET APPROCHES METHODOLOGIQUES/ CORRUPTION: MEASURES, DEFINITIONS & APPROACHES

Corneille Ntamwenge

Abstact :

Taking into account current debate in Anti-corruption Mouvement and in the circles of researchers scrutinising corrupt practices, this paper shows real need to understand corruption and sincerely represent it from its different forms ethically and juridically recognised. First section brings evident weakness of corrupt measure to the fore while the second one regards semantic deficiencies of constructed definitions recorded in some texts used.

Favouring the identification and real description of the major forms of corruption, this study does not subscribe to any current constructed definition. On the other hand, it considers corrupt perception index as a urging call for seriously scrutinising the acts of corruption in social organisations, such as business corporations and States. And the third section defends transdisciplinarity as one of the adequate approaches to be applied to complex phenomena as corruption.

Key Words:
Central Africa/ or Great African lakes region, visibility : observation and perception, measure, definition, methodological approaches, knowledge and understanding, forms, justice, social organisations, complexity and multidimensionality, transdisciplinarity, juridical and ethical normativity, perceived corruption, and real corruption
