Comparison between Social Responsibility Investment and Traditional Investment from the Perspective of Social Responsibility

Abstract: corporate social responsibility has drawn people’s attention since the occurrence of a series of economic and social crisis during 20th century. While during recent years, a series of incidents in China, like illegal brick kiln, poisonous milk powder, paraffin oil, adoption of clenbuterol, arouse public’s awareness of the necessity and urgency of improving CSR. Compared with traditional investment, social responsibility investment is a new investment of enterprises and industries which are beneficial to balanced social development and environment conservation. Social responsibility fund plays an important role in realizing social responsibility investment, and is an important power to make enterprises actively fulfill social responsibility. Thus, development of social responsibility fund is of great significance for fulfillment of CSR. This report attempts to make comparison between social responsibility fund and traditional portfolio investment, and find out the problem of development of social responsibility fund in China, and put forward suggestions.
