South America South America collaborates with other Latin American higher education institutions to identify local initiatives regarding ethics and applied ethics to embed ethics in higher education in the South American region. Together they developed regional conferences, workshops and events to empower university authorities, teachers, and staff in higher education and students through training.

To ensure's adaptability to the region's needs, South America produces and translates publications and multimedia materials in Spanish and Portuguese to develop e-learning within the region.

Regional Team

In April 2014, launched its programme in South America. Deivit Montealgre, former Programme Executive, established and developed the South American network. 

Currently, Maria Eugenia Barroso is now the acting Programme Executive for South America and is in charge of developing all of our South American programs on ethics in higher education. Eugenia was joined by Veronica Estrade in 2021 as Regional Office Assistant to expand the network in the region.
