Competence Center for Africa Research launch event - Ethics, New Technologies, and Africa
The Competence Center for African Research (CCAR), newly established at the Institute for Business Ethics of the University of St Gallen, Switzerland, will host an international conference on 14-15 January 2020 as part of its official launch event at the Kantonsratssaal in St. Gallen.
The CCAR launch symposium will be focusing on Ethics, Technology and Africa. Particular emphasis will be put on the potentials and risks of Artificial Intelligence and new Information and Communication Technologies for the African continent.
The symposium features keynote speakers, roundtables, and discussants of various disciplines. It aims at kick-starting a fruitful intercontinental discourse and network between scholars in Switzerland and on the African Continent. It will offer a platform for cutting-edge contributions, particularly of young African researchers and activists, many of whom are African-based scholars.
Participation is free, but advance registration is required due to space limitations by sending an email to email@example.com
