About the event
The main venue of the Globethics Consortium meeting is the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, Switzerland. (Note that transport will be provided for participants for the visit to Chambéry, France on Thursday 22 June.) The Ecumenical Centre is located at:

- By public transport
- From the Cornavin train station (Genève Cornavin): take bus 5 (direction: "Aéroport") or F (direction "Ferney-Voltaire") and get out at "Crêts-Morillon" station.
- From the airport: take bus 5 (direction: Thônex, Vallard), or bus 28 (direction: "Jardin Botanique") and get out at "Crêts-Morillon" station.
Tickets have to be bought at the bus stop or via SMS ("tpg1" to 788: 3CHF for a 1h duration)

- By taxi
- From the main station (Genève Cornavin): there is a taxi stand just outside the station
- From the airport: there is a taxi stand just outside
- By car
Parking is available at the front and rear of the building.
Please register at reception.
Invitation letters for visa need to be processed by 30 April 2017. Documents to submit to the organizers are:
- Passport scan copy
- Temporary flight ticket / Itinerary
- A copy of the hotel reservation
- A copy of Schengen Health travel insurance
- An official document from employer confirming your academic position and employment
As an NGO, we do not have the funds to support your travel cost. However , we may contribute to some specific cost such as
- meal vouchers
- assistance to visa invitation
- coordination to bilateral meetings with other members
About accomodation
As demand for hotel rooms in Geneva is high, please secure a room as soon as possible. A limited number of rooms at a preferential rate can be reserved for you at the hotels listed this document [PDF - 374 KB size]
Note: For participants from countries receiving development aid and working in a non-governmental organization, there is the possibility to get subsidised lodging in Geneva, paying from only 35CHF/night. You can find all information and application procedure here.
You can do a transfer of the said amount of your hotel to Globethics.net UBS account and on receipt of the payment; Globethics.net shall be the guarantor for your hotel booking.
Please Note: There will be no refund in case of NO SHOW.
Globethics.net will not cover the transport cost

- Sunday, closed (except for petrol stations, newsagents and the airport shopping complex).
