Library Copyright guidelines for submissions
Globethics.net has updated the information on copyright for Globethics.net Library submissions reflecting the new CC (Creative Commons) licenses 4.0 International see http://www.globethics.net/copyright
The new document is entitled "Globethics.net Library Copyright Guidelines for Submissions"
and replaces the previous one referring to Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-ND 2.5)
which was the most restrictive and applied mainly to the Globethics Publications, but is no longer supported by the Creative Commons community.
When a user submits now a document to the library, he/she is able to opt for a more open and up to date license, which is the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0 International), see https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
This means: the author claims authorship, i. e. attribution, while allowing free use and re-use of the content, including copying, sharing, and adaptation.
This license is meant for content sources to be openly and freely shared, re-used and adapted, such as Open Educational Resources (OER) for example, which we would like to collect and promote more extensively in the future.
However the conditions and terms for the CC license applicable to Globethics Publications will remain principally the same, under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives), but referring to the newest version of the CC ommunity. More detailed information see https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ ).
