Life at Globethics.net

The Globethics.net network keeps growing on a fast rate.

As of now, the number of 200 individual participants, almost 60 of which being affiliated to a participating institution, is reached. We are committed to keep growing and to enlarging the circle of active participants through various activities in the coming months. Among these will be a new brochure and other information materials which will be made available for further distribution. You will be kept informed about all developments through our newsletters which will continuously be sent to all Globethics.net participants.

2006 international conference on ‘Fundamentalism and Ethics’

From August 27-31, 2006, Globthics.net 3rd international conference will be held at Huissen, the Netherlands. 45 participants from 26 countries representing five continents will participate in this event.

Keynote speakers at the conference are:

Prof. Veit Bader, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Dr. Nigel Dower, Aberdeen, UK
Prof. Guillermo Hansen, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Prof. Muhammad Machasin, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Dr. Roel Meijer, Nijmegen, The Netherlands

In addition to the keynote papers, there will be 24 workshop papers presented in four parallel sections.

The Journal on Global Ethics


University of Birmingham Centre for Global Ethics

launched in 2005 the Journal on Global Ethics. Although it is not accessible open source, it represents a very valuable resource for the study of issues related to the interests of most Globethics.net participants. Click
