International Conference on Ethics Education
More than 149 participants from over 30 universities gathered together at the 6th International Conference on Ethics Education, during 3-5 October 2018. The event was organised by International Association for Education in Ethics (IAEE) and sponsored also by Globethics.net, University of South Africa (UNISA) and Tshwane University of Technology. This year's conference theme was ‘A Long Walk to Ethics Education'.
The representatives of IAEE, Globethics.net, UNISA and Tshwane University of Technology were invited to deliver a keynote speeches. Obiora Ike, Globethics.net Director, gave a speech on ‘The imperative of values-based formation for future leaders: African and global perspectives for action'.
In addition to the keynote speech, Ike delivered a master class on unethical behaviour in higher institutions with particular focus on fraud, plagiarism and cheating in exams. He took advantage of this opportunity to introduce Globethics.net's four programmes to the participant and how they help to systematically integrate ethics into higher institutions.
