Transdisciplinarity and Systems of Knowledge: Globethics.net Indonesia collaborates on the International Conference on Islam, Science, and Ethics

Since the beginning of 2010 the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies ICRS Yogyakarta has taken over the regional coordination of Globethics Indonesia.
The Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS-Yogya) is a consortium of three universities: Gadjah Mada University (UGM), State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga (UIN), and Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW). Together they offer an integrative, international Ph.D. program in inter-religious studies. This is the worldwide unique Religious Studies Ph.D. Program that is co-sponsored by Muslim, Christian, and national-secular universities.
In 2022, Dr Dicky Sofjan, professor at the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS), Globethics Board Member and Pool of Experts member, was instated as the new Globethics Indonesia Director, joined by Vilda Azwar as National Officer.

Transdisciplinarity and Systems of Knowledge: Globethics.net Indonesia collaborates on the International Conference on Islam, Science, and Ethics
Globethics.net Indonesia recently received an opportunity to collaborate with The State Islamic Institute Kediri (IAIN Kediri) for the International Conference on Islam, Science, and Ethics, held offline and online on 16 November 2022.
The conference began with a warm opening speech by Prof. Dr. H. Moh. Asror Yusuf, The Director of the Postgraduate Program IAIN Kediri, and Dr. Wahidul Anam, The Rector of IAIN Kediri.
Dr. Dicky Sofjan, Globethics.net Indonesia National Director, who is also a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta, participated as one of the plenary speakers and talked about Religion, Science and Ethics: Transdisciplinarity and Systems of Knowledge. Joining Dr Sofjan were Dr. Hakan Gülerce from Harran University Turkey, Dr. Nurcholish from the Indonesia Islamic University Yogyakarta, and Dr. Hanis Humaidi from IAIN Kediri. In the same session, Vilda Azwar, Globethics.net Indonesia National Officer, moderated the discussion.
The conference covered all aspects of Islam, such as Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Religion, Religious Dimension, and Islamic Education. The forum is delivered in three different languages: Indonesian, English, and Arabic.
