When will the conference take place?
 
The conference is taking place from 8.00 on Monday 4 June and closes at 14.00 on Wednesday 6 June 2018 with the choice of two optional excursions in the afternoon.

Where is the conference venue and how do I get there?
 
The conference is taking place at the Château de Bossey in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is located around 10km from Nyon and 17km from Geneva at

How can I reserve a hotel room, and what are the rates?
 
Accommodation at the Château de Bossey 
If you would like to stay at the conference venue, the Château de Bossey please indicate when you register at  http://www.globethics.net/international-conference-2018/registration what kind of room you would like and how many nights you would like to stay. 
 
**Accommodation at the Château de Bossey can be guaranteed only upon registration. ** 
 
An airport shuttle will only be provided for those staying at the Château de Bossey. Please be sure to provide arrival and departure information during registration.
 
Room type and rates:
Single room en-suite, incl. breakfast - USD 125.00 (EUR 115.00) per night 
Single room with a sink / and a shared bathroom on the same floor, incl. breakfast - USD 75.00 (EUR 72.00) per night 
 
Note: Chateau de Bossey only accepts payments on swiss cash or credit cards (AMEX, Maestro, Mastercard, VISA, Postfinance, V-pay or CUP).
 
If you are staying elsewhere during the conference the arrangements and cost of local transportation should be taken care of by you.

Note: For participants from countries receiving development aid and working in a non-governmental organisation, there is the possibility to get subsidised lodging in Geneva, paying from only USD 37 per night. 
 
How do I register to take part in the conference?

Visa processing and deadline?
 
Note that it can take up to three months to complete the visa application process, including booking an appointment, attending an interview if required and receiving the visa if the application is successful. Please allow sufficient time and request any documentation that you need as soon as possible from conference2018@globethics.net.
Invitation letters for visa need to be processed by 30 April 2018. 
 
Is there funding available to help with travel/registration costs? 

 

As an non-profit organisation, we do not have the funds to support your travel costs. 

 

Are there places I can visit before or after the conference?

A choice of two optional excursions are given during registration for conference participants on the afternoon of Wednesday 6 June as follows: 
  • Exploring the neighbouring Swiss town of Nyon with a guided walking tour of 1.5 hours @ USD 50.00 (EUR 45.00) per person; and
  • Crossing Lake Leman to visit and explore the Medieval French village of Yvoire @ USD 50.00 (EUR 45.00) per person for the boat ride only
Please note that there is an additional charge which has to be taken care for by you. The option with the majority of votes will be the one that will be organised.
