Abstract:
The main focus of this work is that, by her vocation, the Church has the mandate and challenge to teach all nations. It is her pastoral and canonical responsibility. School method of Evangelization was the successful tool in the hands of the early Missionaries in Nigeria. But the State forcefully took over Mission schools in 1970. Nationalization of schools and monopoly of control are forms of state-imposed secularism and moral relativism. Forty years after this nationalization of schools, the system of education has virtually collapsed. Just recently, the State started the process of returning mission schools to their various owners.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to corporate behaviour that pro-actively meets the ethical expectations of the public and voluntarily contributes to the society. The global CSR movement yields numerous initiatives, standards and legislation. Owing to the need for development as well as the reform and opening-up policy, mounting Chinese enterprises are "going global" with large amounts of capital. Nevertheless, some foreign governments cast doubt on China's strategic intent, and the general public is dissatisfied with Chinese CSR performance. Chinese enterprises must strengthen their capacities regarding risk control, internal governance, public communication etc., so as to achieve mutual benefit with multi-stakeholders and build an image of responsible global citizenship.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
This book is concerned by the effectiveness of a limited number of cardinal virtues that great religions have in common with philosophical ethics, and the author uses philosophy as a practical aim for better inviting value- and reason-oriented actions. Based on the virtue of hope, the author thinks the very essence of fair conditions for education as transformative education. Deriving from the virtue of justice, we find a firm foundation for peace research and reconciliation programmes. Courage and productivity are, in a judicious manner, related to the value of work. Trust, the virtue of love and common good are matters of the management of natural and economic resources. As we discover each chapter after the other, the whole work is revealed to be grounded on a hierarchy of virtues.

Abstract:
This book on the topic of ethics and poetry consists of contributions from different continents on the subject of applied ethics related to poetry. It should gather a favourable reception from philosophers, ethicists, theologians and anthropologists from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and allows for a comparison of the healing power of words from various religious, spiritual and philosophical traditions. The first part of this book presents original poems that express ethical emotions and aphorism related to a philosophical questioning of the grounding of our values for life. The poems are written by twelve authors coming from four continents, for whom poetic emotions are sources of artistic inspiration and that can be used for conflict resolution. In the second part, which features short essays, nine authors tackle how poems, symbolic representations, metaphorical narratives and lies impact the space of possibilities, in which we are moved to action, knowledge formation, and how we imagine the world together. Abstract:
Churches in Africa have vast assets: agricultural land and prime land in cities, real estate in schools, universities, hospitals, churches etc. How can these institutions become less dependent on donations by increasing revenue from these assets? Theological visions, ethical values, planning skills, integrity leadership, fair elections, professional governing structures, anti-corruption mechanisms, innovative strategies and investment partnerships are needed to aid such developments. This handbook offers conceptual knowledge, practical solutions and case studies, written by practitioners for practitioners in churches: pastors/priests, leaders, finance officers, asset managers, donor agencies, students and all those engaged for professional, innovative, efficient and faith-based asset management of churches and church-related organisations.
