Globethics Pool of Experts Annual Roundtable 2023: A collaborative community of practice around ethical leadership
The Globethics Pool of Experts met on 16 May 2023 for its annual virtual roundtable. Experts from various countries and different scholarly and professional fields were invited to offer feedback on the new terms of reference and collaborative framework for the Pool of Experts. The document positions the Pool of Experts as a collaborative community of practice through exchange and co-creation, especially in the four thematic priority areas of the new Globethics Strategy 2023-2027.
The experts agreed that the framework for a renewed engagement in Globethics projects and activities, but also for a dialogue on ethical trends, and even controversies, is conducive for the collaboration of all members. Following the evaluation of an engagement survey, administered to all Pool of Experts members, the Academy team will implement measures for the establishment of thematic working groups and offer suggestions for an engagement and collaboration in projects and activities.
The Globethics Pool of Experts is currently composed of 37 members from 22 countries with a wide range of expertise in fields related to and relevant for contemporary, future-oriented ethical thought leadership. Globethics plans to strategically expand the composition of the Pool of Experts, especially through the appointment of members with expertise in underrepresented thematic areas. The proficiency, diversity and commitment of the experts constitute undoubtedly an important asset for the organisation and its development: an enriching source and space for reflection and co-creation around ethical leadership.
