null Announcing a new partnership and joint venture with Rani Anna Government College for Women

Globethics.net is very pleased to announce our cooperation agreement with the Rani Anna Government College for Women (RAC) in Gandhi Nagar, Tamil Nadu, India.

As a global network of teachers and institutions with the vision to embed ethics in higher education, one of Globethics.net’s most important resources is our partners. We root these partnerships in the shared goal of promoting ethics in higher education and strive to work together for a world in which people are educated in, informed by and act according to ethical values and thus contribute to building sustainable, just and peaceful societies.

Rani Anna Government College for Women shares our vision, working “to impart literacy to students of economically backward, rural areas and weaker sections of the society” with a mission “to improve the lives of rural girls, make them graduates and agents of social change.”

Previously, Globethics.net collaborated with the RAC Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Journal of Dharma on the International Webinar on Ethics in Higher Education towards Building Sustainable Development. Held in July 2021, the conference focused on ethical concerns in academic research, ethical foundations for global partnerships, ethics and technology, and the importance of the visibility of women, amongst many other themes.

As part of our new partnership, Globethics.net India, IQAC and the Rani Anna Government College for Women are launching a joint venture on Research Ethics in Higher Education. This week-long development programme for faculty and research scholars will take place from 14 to 18 February 2022. It aims to give participants an introduction to moral philosophy and ethics and how these issues can be applied to teaching and research. Through lectures, group work, case analysis and reflection, students will be encouraged to think critically about the questions that recur in ethical debate in order to practice them in both their professional and personal lives.

The Research Ethics in Higher Education course takes place between 9:30 to 11:30 CET from 14 to 17 February 2022 and all participants will be awarded an e-certificate after completing the development programme. Register here for free!
