GlobeTheoLib Consortium meeting 13-14 April 2018

GlobeTheoLib consortium, the international governing body of the Global Digital Library on Theology and Ecumenism, a joint project of and the World Council of Churches (WCC), will gather in Geneva from 13-14 April 2018. During the meeting representatives of world Christian communions, theological education institutions, networks and libraries will discuss and exchange on new developments, trends and projects in theological education and digital librarianship serving theological education and ecumenical studies and review its strategy and budget plans. Participants will also hear testimonies and share insights from the major ecumenical gatherings taking place just prior to the Consortium meeting, the Global Ecumenical Institute (GETI) 2018 and the Conference on World Mission and Evangelism in Arusha, Tanzania. 
On the occasion of the Consortium meeting a Public Lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr Rudolf von Sinner on Friday 13 April 2018 on the theme of the gathering, ‘Theological education in the context of global Christianity: current (and future) trends and challenges'. Professor von Sinner is Professor for Systematic Theology, Ecumenism and Inter-religious Dialogue, former fellow of Escola Superior de Teologia, São Leopoldo/Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, currently serving as Professor Extraordinary, Stellenbosch University, South Africa and Pró-Reitor de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa at the Instituto de Ética, FACULDADES EST in São Leopoldo, Brazil, and WCC Ecumenical Education and Formation Commission's Moderator.
