Il progetto è partito da una duplice constatazione: da un lato la difficoltà di conciliare l'universalità dei diritti dell'uomo e il rispetto delle diversità culturali e dall'altro il deficit democratico che caratterizza le relazioni internazionali e transnazionali. Le diaspore permettono, al tempo stesso, la dispersione e la riunificazione di persone che, attraverso le proprie organizzazioni e associazioni, costituiscono degli straordinari laboratori per promuovere e sperimentare forme di partecipazione democratica a livello transnazionale. Il lavoro di ricerca ha raccolto racconti di vita e storie di diaspora di persone con vissuti migratori diversi che sono stati analizzati con il metodo Paideia.

The main focus of this work is that, by her vocation, the Church has the mandate and challenge to teach all nations. It is her pastoral and canonical responsibility. School method of Evangelization was the successful tool in the hands of the early Missionaries in Nigeria. But the State forcefully took over Mission schools in 1970. Nationalization of schools and monopoly of control are forms of state-imposed secularism and moral relativism. Forty years after this nationalization of schools, the system of education has virtually collapsed. Just recently, thestate started the process of returning mission schools to their various owners.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to corporate behaviour that pro-actively meets the ethical expectations of the public and voluntarily contributes to the society. The global CSR movement yields numerous initiatives, standards and legislation. Owing to the need for development as well as the reform and opening-up policy, mounting Chinese enterprises are "going global" with large amounts of capital. Nevertheless, some foreign governments cast doubt on China's strategic intent, and the general public is dissatisfied with Chinese CSR performance. Chinese enterprises must strengthen their capacities regarding risk control, internal governance, public communication etc., so as to achieve mutual benefit with multi-stakeholders and build an image of responsible global citizenship.

Inaugural Meeting 2017 Report
This Ethics in Education is essential for preparing the youth—the future leaders—to live and lead in a way that is both responsible and sustainable.
During June 2017, over the course of 3 days at venues based in Switzerland and France, Globethics.net organised and hosted the inaugural meeting of the Consortium on Ethics in Higher Education. This coming together of students, teachers, professors, academics, vice-principals and rectors, inter alia, marked the establishment of a truly global collective that aims to create an ethical society through the transformative vehicle of education. They all strengthen the reputation of their institution by supporting efforts to integrate values-based decisions in governance, management and daily practices of staff at all levels; and promote ethical awareness and integrate ethical reflection in all aspects of education. This is report is a detailed overview of the presentations, outcomes and follow up of the conference that took place from 21st–23rd June 2017, that brought together over 60 delegates and individuals from various higher education institutions and others.
This second of two book volumes on ethics in higher education is the result of an international conference organised by Globethics.net with the leadership of the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2016 on managing and teaching ethics within higher education institutions. The focus on traditions and religions as vehicles for collaboration and co-existence in plural societies has gained great attention both in Africa and elsewhere. The book features 14 authors from the University of Nigeria and other Nigerian institutions, including the Tansian University, Abia State University and Bayero University among others.
The international conference of the University of Nigeria, held in 2016, made it clear that education must assist and lead students to learn to be free, responsible, innovative and creative. The teacher has the duty to guide students to know how to acquire knowledge that is not mere information but knowledge that is reflected, offering essential insights needed for effective living—such knowledge bears the ingredients of ethics. This first of two book volumes serves as a guide providing insights gained through experience from 29 authors, including teachers, administrators and policy makers and researchers, all brought together to focus on how Ethics in Higher Education can be integrated into concrete contexts.
This book is a report of the second African Church Assets Programme (ACAP II) Conference held in Nairobi, Kenya, which is a continuation to strengthen the capacity of church institutions (such as educational centres, health care services, seminaries, etc.) and asset managers to develop strategies and tools for more efficient and sustainable management of human and material resources. This workshop is a result of cooperation between Globethics.net and the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), with the support of Bread for the World.
Teaching Christian religious education at the lower secondary school level is complex. It involves the interweaving of content knowledge, pedagogical skills, a knowledge and appreciation of the multifaceted nature of students and finally the evaluation skills that help the teacher to arrive at the conclusion that the intended key learning outcomes have been achieved. Personal characteristics too are integral in the overall portrait of a professional Christian religious education teacher, especially for those people who believe that today there is the paradigm shift between providing instruction and producing learning between imparting knowledge and facilitating learning. An examination of the available literature reveals that many books have been written about how religion should be taught in schools. This book is not about any particular religion; it addresses the deficiency of materials related directly to the essential approaches that should be employed when teaching Christian religious education at the lower secondary school level in Uganda.

Since the start of the Reformasi era and the fall of the New Order regime led by President Suharto in 1998, there have been numerous incidents of violence against the Ahmadiyya in Indonesia stemming from different interpretations of the Qur'an, which has led to the destruction of mosques and cases of murder. This dissertation focuses on Ahmadi women's experiences in dealing with conflict and the ways they organize themselves to resist conflict for the betterment of their lives in the face of social and institutional discrimination.

This study investigates the understanding of heresy and the heretic according to Saint John of Damascus. For him, a heretic was any Christian who, by wilful choice, departs from the one orthodox tradition by adopting a personal opinion on the common faith which he intends to institute as sole truth. Our research is divided into two parts and aims to apply John of Damascus' understanding of the recurring identity of the Christian heretic and his behaviour. By using historical-theological, interdisciplinary and diachronical approaches, the author demonstrates through two case studies, namely, the Dutch Reformed Churches and Apartheid, and Kimbanguism, that this Church Father, who is the ‘seal of the patristic era,' remains a relevant authority for our comprehension of heresy and the heretic.
