null "Sacred Water for Latin America": Interreligious, Environmental, Faith and Climate Convergence in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

From 30 April to 4 May 2017, 67 delegates from Latin American countries, including Globethics.net Programme Executive for South America, met in Rio de Janeiro to participate in the Interreligious, Environmental, Faith and Climate Convergence: Sacred Waters and to share their experiences in defending the life of the earth, based on their cultural and religious richness.

During the five days, delegates addressed topics such as analysis of the links between eco feminism, conflict resolution and alternatives, all of which are related to spiritualties, culminating in building a network of young people in defence of life.
Globethics.net had the opportunity to share with participants the efforts that have been made to involve more and more people in reflection and action in favour of the environment.

Globethics.net Programme Executive for South America, Deivit Montealegre shared with participants the Globethics.net Collection on Ecotheology, Climate Justice and Food Security and the book resulting from the global survey on these same subjects: Eco-Theology, Climate Justice and Food Security (2016)

Globethics.net South America will remain committed to raising awareness and working for ethics in the environment.
