Contact North/Contact Nord is hosting the 27th International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) World Conference in Toronto, Canada taking place from 17-19 October 2017.
The Conference, which takes place every two years has as its theme, ‘Teaching in a Digital Age – Re-Thinking Teaching & Learning'.Call for Papers
Proposals related to one or more of the ‘Five Tracks' below can now be submitted:
- Emerging Pedagogies and Designs for Online Learning
- Expanding Access, Openness and Flexibility
- Changing Models of Assessment
- New Delivery Tools and Resources for Learning and
- Re-designing Institutional Business Models
The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2017 with early approval on 31 December 2016.

One of the objectives of the conference is to discover new modes of teaching, learning, course delivery, and assessment in higher education, as well as defining new strategies to improve student-learning outcomes.
