Globethics.net joins UNESCO on the World Book and Copyright Day celebration which takes place every year on 23 April. The aim of this day is to promote knowledge and information that is not only useful for us as humans but is useful for itself—the true purpose of learning.
UNESCO chose the 23 April to celebrate the World Book and Copyright Day because it is a symbolic date for literature since the great literary figures Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega died on this date.
Globethics.net is also passionate about contributing to knowledge. Our founding conviction is to give more equal access to knowledge resources in the field of applied ethics. This is why we have developed a library which provides access to full text documents for free for everyone and a publishing house to give academics and researcher from the South an equal opportunity to publish their work and contribution to knowledge.
During one week, from 23 April to 29 April, Globethics.net will be promoting some of our favourite publications from over the years which have been read and enjoyed by 1000s of readers worldwide.
