Discourse on Confucian Entrepreneurs 2017

Prof.  Dr. Christoph Stückelberger, President of Globethics.net Foundation, Geneva and Dr. Jing LI, Globethics.net Programme Executive Strategic Development and Business Ethics, attended the 5th Discourse on Confucian Entrepreneurs 2017 on 25-26 November 2017. The event was hosted by the World Ethics Institute at Peking University and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Beijing China. The theme of the 2017 conference was ‘Learning to be Human and the Spirit of Confucian Entrepreneurs'.
 
During the event Dr Stückelberger delivered a keynote address titled: "We all are guests on earth: comparison of Confucian and Christian entrepreneurs' stewardship for the earth".
 
Dr. LI participated as a panellist during the Day 1 panel discussion, providing an overview of the perceptions and practices of business ethics in the West and China.
 
Featured at the conference were prominent Confucian scholars and Confucian virtues-driven modern Chinese entrepreneurs. The event provided opportunity for Globethics to promote itself and participate actively into the dialogue and intercultural exchange on ethical issues, and the opportunities/challenges facing to Confucian entrepreneurs, how to manage the relationship between business and ethics in an ever globalized world driven by the dynamic market economies.
