All articles on are published under a Creative Commons 3.0 CC-BY licence. This means that the articles are immediately and permanently available online, in an easily readable format and archived wherever possible in internationally-recognized open access repositories, such as PubMed Central.

As open access continues to grow in popularity, Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Journals (BQFJ), commissioned a white paper that explored the beginnings of this movement and its impact and significance for the future of academic publishing.
