Merkourios: Utrecht Journal of International and European Law is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, student-led law journal, focusing on international and European law.
Utrecht Journal aims to contribute to legal scholarship on international and European law by promoting these fields' progressive development and providing an international forum for interaction between academia, practitioners and students.
Each issue of Utrecht Journal is devoted to a specific theme chosen by the Board of Editors. The Journal is edited by students and applies double blind peer review. Utrecht Journal is affiliated with Utrecht University and Urios.
Utrecht Journal is the student-led, peer-reviewed biannual law journal of Urios, the Utrecht Association for International and European Law. The Journal was founded in 1981 as Merkourios, Utrecht Journal of International and European Law. In 2013, the Board of Editors decided to change it to its current name.
In the years since 1981, Utrecht Journal has expanded its readership and is now distributed all over the world through our website www.utrechtjournal.org and online databases such as HeinOnline and the Directory of Open Access Journals.
The Globethics.net library is in the process of gathering all the articles ofMerkourios: Utrecht Journal of International and European Law from vol 26, 2010 to Current, from the Open Access Services in Utrecht University Library.
Authors of articles remain the copyright holders and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce, and share the article according to the Creative Commons License.
