GTL Consortium

Workgroup Information

Stephen Brown, Programme Director, Online Libraries

The GlobeTheoLib (GTL) project is a new project in collaboration with the World Council of Churches, to develop a Global Digital Library in Theology and Ecumenism, on the same model as the ethics library. The pre-project phase ended with an International Workshop in Geneva, September 16-18 2010. Twenty-five participants from all the continents gathered to discuss the project proposed by and WCC and to find out synergies with their own projects in the field of digital resources in theology with the final goal of building strong partnerships for a common project.
Subsequently, GlobeTheoLib was launched in September 2011.

This workgroup is the official platform for the workshop participants to exchange their ideas and comments on the GTL project and to advise the project leadership group on further content and further partners. It also serves as a repository for documents from subsequent meetings of the GlobeTheoLib Consortium Committee.

Participants of the GTL workshop, September 16-18, 2010 in Geneva, and subsequent meetings of the GlobeTheoLib Consortium Committee. This is a closed workgroup.
